About

My name is Ella Merriman and I am an artist, designer and craftswoman who has fallen in love with rush basketry. I see my work as ‘love letters to nature’ and my process is a collaboration between myself and the material. I harvest my rush in Somerset and dry it in my grandad’s shed.

As a Londoner with minimal access to the great outdoors, my practice reunites me with the land and I feel a deep sense of belonging and grounding when I am weaving. It makes me so happy and I hope that my work will bring you joy too.

I creates homewares, sculptures and accessories from my studio at Cockpit Bloomsbury.

Shipping policy

It goes without saying that I will always try and get your order to you as quickly and as seamlessly as possible (whoops, I said it anyway!). However, I pack and process all of your lovely orders myself. I aim to post everything out within 48 hours (weekdays only) of you placing your order, but sometimes I don’t run quite fast enough to the post office and miss the last collection – sorry! I do not post orders on weekends or public holidays.

The postal charge does not include taxes and duties, which may be applied by customs in the country of delivery. All payments of taxes & duties are the responsibility of the customer and usually determined on the value of your order. Orders will not be refunded if these costs are not paid and you choose not to collect your order.

I really really hope that you love your piece but I do understand that things sometimes need to be returned. I accept undamaged, unused product returns, if returned within 14 days of receipt. Unfortunately, as a one-woman operation, I am not able to cover the cost of return postage.

Once the returned item has arrived at my studio, I will process a refund within 10 working days, providing the item is in an identical condition to when it was sold.
